300th post.
and I expected something more exciting than NS haha
but BMT ends in 2 weeks.
so there is something to look forward to.
there is something to be said about dedication to your job
and loving it.
for the past 6 years I've walked past the sheltered amphitheatre on the way back to my block.
and on tuesday and thursday evenings I see some women tap dancing,
with this pot-bellied guy teaching them.
I clearly remember walking past
in RI shorts
in RI pants
in RJ pants
in smart 4.
everytime I see the same guy,
everytime I see the same group of women.
I used to laugh at them dancing - and I still do.
I never really understood how people could tap dance to the Black Eyed Peas
or Madonna, for that matter.
yet over the years as I looked at the guy dance
and laughed at him,
I became to realize that he did his job because he loved it.
not for the money,
not for the chance to be laughed at.
and I will want to love my job too.
