now camping here can mean a few things. for one, it can mean that im a camper in a game like soccer or polo. it can also mean like going on a camp.

so in this case it means going on a camp la. because im in BB, we have this camp every year in march. its like some kind of training camp where you get to bond with your squad. of course you also go on long hikes which are very fun la.

so heres a rundown of the camp.

day 1: assemble at atrium and fall in. then had bag check lol was quite cool la. this is the third time that we done this la so we know how to pack la... everything in ziploc and plastic bags so can just dump everything out. but we took quite a while and we didnt really work together at first la but later it becamse better...

then we had some squad interaction and then lunch. took 8 minutes to eat lol. then we went to chinese gardens to begin hike. hiked to science centre then to tanglin sec sch and west coast park then to some corner of the park where we tented. field cooking was fun lol jappy cooked his mess tin handle and spilt so we helped him clear up mess. campfire was like singing songs and i becasme a cow in the song lol. but... later when going to sleep we screwed up cause like we didnt standardize our attire so we ran around and did push ups and things like that. but i guess we deserved it la... should have communicated more before that. in the middle of the night like the tent was roasting hot so like the sec4s moved up the tent flaps. woohoo cool tents!

the next day was nuch harder la. i mean like wake up at 5 30 to strike tent and eat, then at 7 set off on "12"km hike. went to some place called NACLI, MOE, HPPS, romanian embassy somewhere near bukit timah road. walao ji wei damn cunning. we were at serene centre getting water la...so we go in and see them at we were like "shit, they're here". so, we went out la. then when we just got water, we see them run out. like omfgwtfbbqhax0rz la. after that went to sims road then lim bo seng memorial at macritiche resevoir park then like back to school. so when we went back to school we were like shit tired. we got in at like 1.1opm la. basically we were supposed to get back to RI at like 4 because they underestimated us. LOL we are pro.

washed the tents, then dried them and went to bathe. then, went to SLEEP! lol but before that had mass "za" game lol i kept losing to zewei... slept at around 3 and woke at 6... hahaha.....then went for dinner and then had singspiration and we went to sleep

at 12.30... fire drill...gah its probably the hardest and one oft he most important parts of any camp, cause it shows how you can communicate quickly and encourage others. we took 1 hour and 17 mins... really slow you know... then went to sleep and at 2.45... games... quite a weird camp rite... basically we had to find lightsticks in the first one, and cards in the second. finished games at 6.50 and spelt until 8am... gah tired...

after breakfast we had batchwork... sec 3s had a talk by our ss and the CS. talked about how leading is like la... cant say our batch is fully ready to take over company but we'll work hard. then, had lunch and cleaned up everything in 30 min... quite slow imo

then we had finale! sec4s sang peng you in english lol was damn funny. then mr gan gave a devotion and we went off! yay! march camp over!

what did you learn there?

ok today is thursday and we had a good day in school

First...we had physics. Not a good way to start the day by any standard, but today was a fun lesson because like lbh asked chee to call someone. of course chee call slau la. so lbh asked slau to explain how the eye worked. slau didnt know so he got jacked and had to stand. so did josh and someone else but i forgot who... so like the GAN volunteers and fets it partially right. so like later lbh asks those guys standing a question and they can sit down.

but after that chee calls seetow to answer a question, and this time lbh says that you can peng someone else to stand with you if you answer wrongly. so seetow was like "i answer wrongly so that i can jack slau"

and he did. lol slau got penged.

next we had philo. well, we would have had philo but azlan was at GEP camp with the prefects hiok, tedric and jot so we were slacking. josh told me he was going to get a rokr cause his dad struck 4D. dammit i hate josh so lucky. we were throwing knifes when fong came in. like oops. good thing i hid the knife in time lol. chinese is not a good period before recess anyway, but like fong was in a good mood so she let us off 5 mins before bell rang for early recess. so it was a good period.

we were supposed to have bio but court didnt come. so i went out to take a look and i saw the sec 1 GEPers coming back lol. i went to get something for jappy but then the door of 3Q opened and ajay asked me to come in. i was at the door and like lbh was there. crap. i went in, and told him that i was going to pass something to jappy. then lbh turned to ajay and he was like "ajay, you didnt do what i asked you to do." seems like he was supposed to drag me in lol. so he held my collar and i just walked in. then lbh sent me back to class lol

during bio, we had this discussion on the use of ethanol fuel. quite intersting lol. court cant teach but he tries to make his lessons interesting. good period.

assembly we went to watch this performance by these ppl called the finger players. they are these damn pro puppet theatre company. their puppets looked quite lame but the way they manipulated the puppets was like damn cool. at the end was also quite funny, the male lead accidentally shoved the sword into himself. accidentally. now that's funny. good period.

so like on the whole today was a good day. i mean like jack period, free period, early recess period, half discussion period, play period?

cool eh?

i dont really want to write an autobiography, but this is for a school project.

oh well, here we go...

I was born on the 28th of November in a hospital in Glasgow, Scotland. My father was there studying for his masters degree. Nothing much happened there, and life passed happily until I went into kindergarten.

Kindergarten was a fun place to learn things. The teachers were kind and they taught you things like the alphabet and simple counting. However, there was one incident when I cried when my teacher scolded me for not bringing a blue crayon. Other than that embarrassing incident, life went on as usual until something funny happened on graduation day. That day, we were having a class photo taken by our parents after the graduation ceremony. One of my friends was holding his graduation certificate. However, he had unknowingly dropped it on the floor. After the picture was taken, he walked out and slipped on the certificate, falling on the other students. We collapsed in a heap and our parents burst with laughter.

In Primary 1, I went to St Michael’s Primary School. School started off quite uneventfully, but there came a day when I had to go to the school dentist. I had always hated dentists, for I had seen pictures of their sharp drills. Once, I had walked past the dental clinic and heard someone scream! Fortunately, the dentist was a nice man and after checking my teeth, he gave me a sticker.

In primary 4, I entered the GEP in Henry Park Primary School. Life turned around and was very different due to my new classmates, which I had never seen before. However, we learnt to get along together in the end. Then August came. I was called to the general office of the school. It seemed that I was going to be interviewed! The interviewer was a journalist from the Straits Times, and it felt surreal. Of course, it felt even weirder when I saw my face in the newspapers!

When I went to primary 6, I had a mathematics teacher by the name of Mrs. Idil. She was a very caring teacher, and she always made sure that everyone understood the lessons. Whenever I had problems with my work, she would patiently explain it to me. She was a very caring and inspiring teacher, and everyone in our batch that year got A-star for our PSLE mathematics exam.

Finally, in Secondary 1, I entered Raffles Institution. Here, the competition was even greater, and my new class did even funnier things! There was once, my friend Daniel found a big stick that was 5 metres long. He brought it back to class and it became our class stick. Also, we bought a carom table for our class. At the end of the year, we sprinkled the powder to smoothen the board on the floor and slid around!

Then Secondary 3 came. Along with OBS, which was completely ruined because of the weather. School started again and we got an autobiography assignment, which we had to do on our blog…

oh well

that's my autobiography lol

ok so im in like one of the best schools in singapore. this doesn't necessarily mean that im the best, it just means that there are other people that are better than me. anyway, let's take a tour round the nice school of raffles institution.

first, we start at the main gate, at bishan street 21 in bishan new town in the east of singapore in southeast asia in asia on earth in the solar system in the milky way...

sorry i detracted. so when you enter the gates of this prestigous school, you will see this big green building on the right and... white metal sheets on the left. now you may think: that can't be raffles institution, it is such a good school! i should go right!

wrong! on the right is another school called raffles junior college. ah you go there after four years in raffles institution. so now you follow the left road, which coincedentally is called 1 raffles institution lane. fascinating, isnt it?

so when you are travelling down the road with the very nice name, you see apartments on the right and more metal on the right. isnt raffles institution a school, you may think. fear not, the school is undergoing the process of renovation, when they tear down half the school to make it better for us in the future...

ok so we turn to the apartments on the left. occasionally, you can hear people. occasionaly, you will hear some cheem chinese words that they speak at the speed of a firing machine gun. yes, that is where the chinese scholars live! they come from china and they are prodded at everything except english and they take chinese lit.

if you have noticed, on each of the blocks there is a name. well, on the block called hullett, remember that all of the students in hullett hose own every other house.

so then proceeding down you can see a nice block by the name of the Shaw foundation ceremonial hall. there's nothing special about it, i mean it's where we eat our food lor because our canteen is being demolished now because of the renovation. there are occasional events happening there like the recent prefect's investiture. but other than that, its a boring old hall. the airconditioning is quite screwed up there too.

on the right is the junior block! my class is there lol and im in Sec 3. its called a junior block too... the school is weird. in there there are nice roms like the computer labs which turn into LAN centres everyday with people playing halo and maplestory there. there are english rooms where you can like act and there are seminar rooms which are basically classes with a nicer name and carpeted floors.

so if you continue walking you will reach a four way junction. There, you may or may not see this security guy called elango. he is the security guard in our school. the main one anyway. so, he is the butt of many of the students jokes because he often goes into super stealth mode...

turn right at the four way junction and you will reach this place called the design centre. its just behind the boarding houses! there, there are there big rooms where people learn to draw, use machines, make stuff, and things to do with designing (duh). and above it, there is a gym. actually, more of a multi-purpose hall because there are rock walls, gym equipment, table tennis tables, judo mats, so its not really a gym in its own right.

if you had went straight at the four way junction and then turn right, you would have seen this big building with nice glass windows and a nice porch with three rectangular parking lots there. That is the Admin block, where the teachers have their offices and the big shots in the school like the principal and the 3 vice principals have their office. Funny, Raffles Institution has a population of about 2000. Why would they need 3 vice principals?

also, you can see this white bust of some guy folding his arms. He is none other than...

Stamford Raffles (duh). This guy was the one who founded Singapore and this school. No wonder this school is so cool, no?

so if you proceed right from the nice guy you will see this corridor, and another block on the end. Now this block has a very specific name. It is called the Senior Block, where the Seniors have their classes. Funnily enough, there are Juniors in the Senior Block. And there are Seniors in the Junior Block. Weird right?

going back to the bust, and going down about 50 metres before turning right, you will then see another block, but this block is much smaller. This block is called the Science Block, where the Science Labs are. In the labs, you get to do loads of nice stuff. You can make things explode, burn, spark, fizzle; you can weigh things, cut things, drown things, cut up things; you can inhale oxygen, you can inhale carbon dioxide, you can inhale sulphur dioxide, you can even inhale chlorine gas! however, don't blame me if anything happens to you.

back to the bust again! this time, proceed left to a oval-like red thing. That is our very own track! Now the track is where people go and run around for tests, competitions and whatever lame reasons they can think of. Also, the softball guys and the rugby guys train there on th efield in the middle of it.

beside the track, you will see this small green field with nice grass. No! it is not grass! it is this nice material with this cool name of "The Astroturf". cool name eh? however, recently, because of tthe increasing number of people playing and sliding with their coolio soccer boots on the field, the field has come to look like the field at Stamford Bridge without the mud.

Behind, there is some more white metal. and behind, the horrifying thing is that the building has been smashed up! Actually, that was our old canteen where there was a lot of nice food. Now, all the food is crap. There was also the hall there, but it was squeezy and hot despite the aircon. so i suppose it was good and bad that they tore it down.

oh, and one last note. around raffles sometimes you may see men in blue shirts. They are the blue brigade of workers, the workers that are rebuilding this school for us.

isn't raffles a nice school?

yay

got a blog...

haven'r really started a blog before, i mean like i never had time to maintain it and all...

but this is for homework lol so i think i should just keep one la

oh... today we had a physics test. i mean, physics is like normally rather interesting with lots of er... fun calculations and all, but how can we study if we're not taught any s**t? i mean, during physics lessons we never learn anything because most of the time we are like stoning in class and all during physics lesson...

ok so the test was crap, and i think i like failed... so there goes my GPA cause like this test will affect my GPA like mad la so if i pass i'll be really happy

today merrill played the indian version of twinkle twinkle little star... lol damn funny it sounded weird but cool... so sad i have it on my phone but my phone can't play WMA files damn la

today jorel's daddy never come for lesson and all, and the relief teacher had to take A level results.

like wtf la we have a free period cause our relief teacher is not here

so we stayed in class and stoned. went over to RJC to collect some form for a trail thing... prize is either a ipod video, a palm thingy or a crumpler bag. the prizes are really good lol so we're like hoping we can win but there are like 100 other teams or something. still, we hope we can win... an ipod video each member in the group is like a damn good prize

heck la got bio quiz thingy tomorrow. if this test i screw up i think i can throw my GPA out of the window or something so i better go and mug
